Keiko asks if Kyoya is ready to travel back in time. He says yes without hesitation.
She reminds him of what he losing by going back. His wife, his daughter and a stable job where he is respected and needed.
There is a long silence. He recalls a sea of memories. Finally, he responds saying he will go back not to gain happiness rather he relishes the feeling of struggle and being on edge. He does not enjoy the easy life or perhaps he simply wants to relive the dream of being with the legendary team?
With the matter settled Keiko works her magic!
But at the final moment Kyoya stops her! He says he needs to say farewell before going back.
Maki greets him and shows him a picture that Aki recently drew. Is this bait to keep him from going back?
Aki says she started this drawing after being inspired by the artwork from Minori Ayaka.
Remembering what Eiko said he embraces Aki and Maki.
Aki says that moment of inspiration is all it took to light up her passion. She recalls all the fun she had in the good ol’ days… She’s pulling out all the stops to get Kyoya to stay!
They share a morning breakfast
As Kyoya leaves for work he hugs them both like it will be the last time…
With the farewell’s made Keiko is there to complete the act.
Keiko highlights that Kyoya's success doesn’t come from going back in time rather it is his own resourcefulness plus his tendency to always think of others before acting. Are you sure about that character assessment Keiko?
She goes on to say the actions he makes in the past will change the “future” he knew from his original timeline. With a heavy heart he realises he was full of himself for thinking he could change people by saving them and thus becoming their savour…
Keiko is happy to hear this epiphany and with that lightbulb moment she sends him back ominously saying he will go back to hell!
He wakes up in the old dorm and is greeted by non-other than Nanoko and Aki!
It doesn’t take long for bad news to surface. Turns out Tsurayuki has just dropped out of school!
Instead of playing superhero (for once) he decides to leave the house and swear he will not regret his actions this time and just do what he believes in!
Despite time passing Tsurayuki has not returned. His teacher asks if Kyoya knows any specifics about him dropping out despite sorting out his tuition fee woes…
Despite all this, Kyoya remains hopeful he will cross paths with Tsurayuki…
Nanako is brooding over the idea of joining a doujin group she was invited to join. Clearly apprehensive it is almost like she is fishing for a no from Kyoya. When Kyoya says to go for instead… Nanako goes into attack mode!
He feels that Nanako needs to spread her wings if she is to develop into the N@na he dreamed of.
Solving Aki’s creative slump proves to be a more challenging affair…
A chance encounter, a chance crash into a random girl. Looking over the stuff she drops he finds something most interesting!
He catches the name on her badge: Minori Saikawa. Minori?! Could she be?
It seems lady luck has struck yet again for Kyoya! He sees this chance encounter as a ripe opportunity for getting Aki out of her rut! Like daughter, like mother will this Minori manages to inspire Aki?
Still unsure this plan will work he asks Eiko, hypothetically off course, if she could help him. She agrees in a tsundere type fashion…
