Episode 7
The girls confront Mami and Tsuruno in what appears to be an imminent face off.
Meanwhile even Nemu is expressing doubts over the whole operation. Touka remains steadfast she wants to help the magical girls.
Yachiyo senses the girls are brainwashed while Kyouko takes this observation to the next level by baiting Mami into a reaction…
Her taunts backfire…
Luckily Homura can stop time!
But her power is not enough and the girls are forced to retreat! As Yachiyo tries to escape Tsuruno pounces on her!
Tsuruno acts with overwhelming force and Iroha has to step in to save her.
Just as it seems like curtains for the two girls Sana and Felicia come to save them in the nick of time!
Felicia and Sana linkup to counterattack!
The girls somehow manage to survive the onslaught unscathed…
But they only have six hours to fix things…
The girls regroup. Yachiyo embraces Sana and Felicia telling the two how much she missed them.
Felicia talks about her time with the Magius saying that the promise to avoid becoming a witch was largely an empty one as the cure was just as bad as the disease.
Yachiyo tries to comfort her saying she will always protect them. Felicia interjects saying that she had to become a doppel to save them previously but then Yachiyo says that the only means of long-term salivation is to become strong enough so they don't have to rely on their doppel form. Felicia disagrees and storms off.
Kyouka tries to break the ice with some tasty snacks!
She then goes to say that in the hotel of Faint Hope she learned that the Magius have been putting mysterious substances into soul gems to enhance its magic.
At that moment Sana presents a letter she received from Mifiyu.
The letter reveals the details for Operation Awaken Embryo Eve and how the Magius will use the artificial witch to absorb the super witch Walpurgisnacht.
Despite some misgivings Yachiyo says the best means of thwarting the Magius plans is to bring down the beacon.
But to bring down the beacon they need to get past Mami and Tsuruno. It seems like a big ask but they get a hint!
The scene shifts to Mifiyu who pleads with the co-ordinator in a way of turning Tsuruno and Mami back to normal.
Unfortunately, she gives a hard no to both girls…
Under pressure the co-ordinator finally relents saying her wish was to become a magical girl. As it is, in her current state she cannot fight witches and simply works on soul gems.
In her time working on gems she has seen despair and torment inflict the happiest girls and despite her outward appearance it has effected her deeply.
In her moment of weakness Momoko takes it upon herself to shoulder the burden.
Touched by Momoko’s show of sympathy she tells the girls the key to overcoming Tsuruno and bringing her back.
But if they miscue this plan, it can damage the girl herself…
With the plan now known the girls vow to save Tsuruno and Mami!
Things don’t look to promising for Kuroe who is trying to evade the Magius!
The big fight commences and Mami and Tsuruno come out guns blazing!
The girls are initially on the defensive
But Yachiyo strikes out and with the support of Akemi and Kyouka they manage to get Tsuruno!
With their target subdued Yachiyo unleashes her all to bring Tsuruno back!
